SPICE-Based Optoelectronic System Simulation.
spiceis a widely used simulation tool for electrical circuits and systems. When optoelectronic elements, such as lasers, detectors, modulators, etc., and optical elements, such as lenses, gratings, beam splitters, etc., are incorporated into spice, optoelectronic system simulation can be combined with that of electronic systems, facilitating hybrid system design and analysis. We discuss an opto...
متن کاملAugmentation of SPICE for simulation of circuits containingresonant tunneling diodes
This paper describes the incorporation of an accurate physics-based model of the resonant tunneling diode (RTD) into Berkeley SPICE version 3F5 and addresses the related direct current (dc) and transient convergence problems caused by the negative differential resistance (NDR) and the exponential nature of the device characteristics. To circumvent the dc convergence problems, a new continuation...
متن کاملOptimisation of Analog Circuits with Spice 3f4
In the paper four approaches of upgrading analog circuits analysis tools (SPICE was used) with optimisation loops are compared. In the first approach the optimisation algorithm is coded in Mathematica, which calls SPICE for every circuit analysis. In the second approach the algorithm is coded in Nutmeg. (Nutmeg is an interpreter designed as a user interface for SPICE, but it has all properties ...
متن کاملSimulating SET circuits using SPICE
With single-electron tunneling (SET) technology it is possible to build electronic circuits with extreme low power properties. These SET circuits must therefore operate in the single electronics (current) regime. To simulate SET circuits in this regime, a SPICE (Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis) model has been written In contrast to, the prescriptions in the so-called Orthodo...
متن کاملAssessment of EIT/CT Fusion Imaging using a Biological Phantom
A cylindrical slice of seeded winter melon with an air-cavity was imaged using CT and EIT imaging systems. The structural regions were extracted from the CT image using morphological image processing algorithms and fused with the functional information of its EIT image. Fusion performance showed a detectability increase of 67% along with a structural similarity increase of 26%.
